Storm Shelter Rebates for Pittsburgh County

This rebate program is extremely similar to the SoonerSafe state-wide rebate program. You will be reimbursed 75%, up to $2000, of the purchase price of a qualified safe rooms or storm shelters. the The process of applying for your rebate to getting your rebate back in the mail is a pretty simple process.

  1. Apply with Pittsburg County’s Department of Emergency Management to be approved for the rebate. You can contact their office (918) 423-5655.
  2. Upon being approved for the rebate, you will need to find a reputable vendor with safe rooms and/or storm shelters that meet FEMA Publication 320 Guidelines.
  3. Upon delivery and installation of your safe room or storm shelter, you send in the paperwork to Pittsburg County’s Department of Emergency Management for rebate processing and you should receive your rebate within 8 weeks.

    • I’m sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, we don’t work on storm cellars that weren’t installed by us. I suggest contacting the company that originally did the installation and see if they do custom modifications to help you get into your shelter easier.
